Who Does Your Septic Work?

Campbell River Septic is a Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner working across Campbell River, Willow Point, Campbellton, Quadra Island and Oyster River. We install, repair, pump out and inspect septic systems, and we design Type 1 and Type 2 systems under 9,100 litres per day. We reply to you within 24 hours.

What we do

Five kinds of work, one local crew.

We install new septic systems, repair the ones that have stopped working, pump out and maintain tanks, inspect systems for buyers and builders, and do the site and soil assessment and design that comes before a new system. One local crew does all of it.

What we are registered to do

There is no such thing as a septic licence. ROWP registration is the real credential.

We are registered as a Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Association of BC. That registration is what lets us act as your Authorized Person: design, install, file and certify Type 1 and Type 2 systems under 9,100 litres per day. We carry business insurance and a business licence.

Work past Type 2 is not ours to do. That needs a professional, and if your job is one, we will tell you.

What are the parts of your septic system called?

Tank, lid, riser, filter, distribution box, field. Those are the words on your quote.

A septic system is not complicated once somebody names the parts. What leaves the house settles in a septic tank. A tank lid gives you access, and a riser brings that lid up to grade. An effluent filter on the outlet keeps solids from reaching the ground.

From there a distribution box splits the flow across the runs of the dispersal field, sometimes called the drain field, and the soil finishes the treatment. Where the ground will not take gravity distribution, an effluent pump and a float switch move the flow under pressure distribution instead.

When a system fails you tend to see it before you understand it: slow drains first, then ponding on the surface. We will name every part we touch on your quote, and explain any of them you want explained.

How we work

We walk the property before we quote it. Every time.

We come out and look before we give you a number. We tell you whether your job needs a filing with Island Health, and we handle that filing when it does. You get the price in writing, and we clean up before we leave.
